The National Trust is delighted to welcome Andrew Tozer with his first solo exhibition for Trelissick Gallery.
Cornish by birth, Andrew trained at Falmouth School of Art and Design, University of Westminster and St Martin’s School of Art and Design then returned home to paint the places he loves.
Andrew believes that his paintings should be as authentic to the experience of a place as possible. As he says “I want reflect my surroundings in a truthful and simple way”. Key to this for Andrew is working out of doors and he feels a strong affinity to Cornwall’s ‘plein air’ painters of the past and the work of French artists such as Sisley and Monet.
Andrew is passionate about painting and the places he paints and well deserving of the considerable reputation he has established as a young artist.
